Saudi Red Crescent Authority Prepares for Hajj 2024 with Dedicated Medical Team
In preparation for the upcoming Hajj pilgrimage in 2024, the Saudi Red Crescent Authority (SRCA) has mobilized a team of 2,540 medical professionals, ambulance technicians, and administrative staff. This dedicated team will be stationed across nearly 100 ambulance centers to ensure the well-being of pilgrims and provide high-quality medical care throughout the pilgrimage.
Strategic Deployment Across Entry Points, Pilgrim Routes, and Holy Sites
The SRCA has strategically positioned its staff across 98 ambulance centers, covering key entry points, pilgrim routes, and holy sites. This deployment will enable swift response times and effective medical assistance for pilgrims in need.
Enhanced Fleet and Support Services
To strengthen its frontline response, the SRCA has allocated a significant portion of its ambulance fleet to the Hajj mission. This includes 320 ambulances, 13 advanced response vehicles, seven air ambulances, two medical evacuation helicopters, and a support fleet consisting of motorcycles, golf carts, electric scooters, electric bicycles, ambulance buses, and additional service vehicles.
Seamless Communication and Volunteer Support
Translators will be on hand to assist with ambulance calls, ensuring clear communication in various medical situations during Hajj. Additionally, over 595 volunteers will support the SRCA in providing ambulance services at different locations while educating pilgrims on essential preventive measures to safeguard their health during the pilgrimage.
