The scorching desert heat couldn’t dampen the excitement at the AlUla Camel Cup, where Saudi Arabia, the UAE, and Qatar emerged as the triumphant nations on Day 2.

Competitions Under the Hot Sun

The day’s events featured two grueling 5 km races – the Hagayeg and the Lagaya, each with two races. Minister of Interior Prince Abdulaziz bin Saud bin Naif of Saudi Arabia clinched victory in the first Hagayeg race, while Emirati Mohammed Al-Kutbi’s camel, Shart, dominated the second race.

Prize Pool and Prestige

A total prize pool of $6.83 million was up for grabs, with winners in each category taking home $870,000. The competition was fierce, with top finishers earning hefty sums and showcasing their skill and dedication.
