Chinese Embassy in Saudi Arabia Hosts Reception to Celebrate People’s Liberation Army Anniversary
In a grand event held at Riyadh’s Cultural Palace, the Chinese Embassy in Saudi Arabia hosted a reception to commemorate the 97th anniversary of the founding of the People’s Liberation Army.
Historic Military Cooperation Between Saudi Arabia and China
During the reception, Zhu Je, the armed defense attache at the Chinese Embassy, emphasized the significance of the history of military and security cooperation between Saudi Arabia and China. He highlighted the recent meeting between Saudi Defense Minister Prince Khalid bin Salman and his Chinese counterpart Dong Jun in Beijing, calling it a “milestone in the new era.”
Deepening Bilateral Cooperation in Defense and Military Areas
Zhu Je shared insights from the meeting between the two ministers, stating that they agreed to deepen bilateral cooperation in defense and military areas, strengthen strategic communication between leaderships, and elevate the relationship to a higher level.
Strategic Friendly Cooperation Between Saudi Arabia and China
At the reception, Chinese Ambassador Chang Hua, alongside Zhu Je, welcomed defense officials and ambassadors based in the Kingdom. Zhu Je emphasized the strategic friendly cooperation between the Kingdom and China’s defense ministries, expressing China’s firm support for Saudi Arabia in safeguarding its national security and opposing external interference in the Kingdom’s internal affairs.
Support for Regional Stability and Peace Efforts
Zhu Je reiterated China’s commitment to facilitating reconciliation between Saudi Arabia and Iran, supporting unity among Palestinian parties, and assisting Saudi Arabia’s efforts to maintain stability, restore peace, and protect civilians in the region and around the world. He also expressed gratitude to the Kingdom for its support and praised the Saudi ministries of defense, interior, and National Guard, along with his embassy colleagues.
