Design Space AlUla Showcases Ambitious Projects in Milan
In a stunning display of creativity and innovation, Design Space AlUla is coming to the Mediateca Santa Teresa in Brera, the historic artists’ district of Milan.
From April 14-21, visitors will have the chance to witness works from recent projects in AlUla, an ancient city with big plans for the creative industries and design sector.
Nora Aldabal, the executive director of Arts and Creative Industries at the Royal Commission for AlUla, expressed excitement about the growth of the design program. She emphasized AlUla’s role as a hub for design, traditional arts, and innovation, celebrating its cultural heritage and natural history.
The exhibition space, designed by Cloud and Sabine Marcelis, captures the essence of AlUla as a center of culture, creativity, and storytelling. The central cylinder, inspired by the concept of light, illuminates the room like an ideal sun.
Sabine Marcelis, one of the designers, described AlUla as a magical place that inspires creativity and dreams. The exhibition in Milan is a platform to showcase the latest design initiatives developed in collaboration with local crafts, highlighting both the finished products and the creative process behind them.
