Taif’s Green Spaces Flourish Thanks to Volunteer Efforts
In a remarkable display of community spirit, school students and nonprofit associations in Taif have banded together to increase the city’s green spaces this year.
As part of an afforestation program in line with the Saudi Green Initiative, thousands of trees have been planted across the city.
Community members were given free seedlings to plant, taking advantage of Taif’s fertile soil and moderate climate to ensure the success of the initiative.
The municipality’s program aims to tackle environmental challenges, combat air pollution from greenhouse gases, and reduce land degradation in the area.
Not only do these green spaces benefit the environment, but they also attract locals and tourists, foster community gatherings, and provide opportunities for physical activities.
Taif can now boast almost 2,000 acres of green space, a testament to the hard work and dedication of its residents and volunteers.
