Saudi Aid Agency KSrelief Provides Relief to Crisis-Affected Regions
In a commendable effort to alleviate the suffering of those affected by ongoing crises, the Saudi aid agency KSrelief has stepped up to provide relief to people in various regions. According to a report by the Saudi Press Agency, the agency has been actively involved in humanitarian efforts across different countries.
Helping Vulnerable Families in Sudan
In Sudan, KSrelief has distributed 1,486 shelter and personal care kits to the country’s most vulnerable and displaced families. This initiative has benefited a total of 4,273 individuals and forms part of the Emergency Shelter Assistance Project for Sudan in 2024. The aim of this project is to provide much-needed support to the Sudanese people during these challenging times.
Water and Sanitation Services in Yemen
Moving on to Yemen, KSrelief has been instrumental in providing water and sanitation services in the Al-Khawkhah district of Al-Hudaydah Governorate. Over the course of July 10 to 16, 2024, the organization pumped a staggering 630,000 liters of drinking water and 464,000 liters of non-potable water. Additionally, they carried out 25 waste removal operations in camps for displaced people, demonstrating their commitment to improving living conditions in the region.
Supporting Healthcare in Lebanon
In Lebanon, KSrelief has extended its support to the Souboul Al Salam Association in the Miniyeh district of northern Lebanon. Through their funding, the association was able to conduct 76 ambulance missions in the past week alone. These missions included transporting patients to and from hospitals, providing treatment for burn injuries, and offering assistance to both refugee and host communities in the area. KSrelief’s contribution has undoubtedly made a significant impact on the healthcare sector in Lebanon.
