EU Ambassador Celebrates Europe Day in Saudi Arabia
Christophe Farnaud, the EU ambassador to Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, and Oman, hosted a vibrant Europe Day celebration in the Kingdom. The event brought together fellow European ambassadors, Saudi foreign affairs officials, and friends of the embassy at his residence in the diplomatic quarter.

Speaking to Arab News, Farnaud emphasized the strong partnership between Saudi Arabia and the European Union. He highlighted the political, economic, and cultural aspects of the relationship, especially as Saudi Arabia undergoes a remarkable transformation.

Guest of honor at the event was Saudi Vice Minister of Foreign Affairs Waleed El Khereiji. Farnaud expressed the importance of enhancing cooperation between Saudi Arabia and the EU to address global challenges such as pandemics, economic transitions, and globalization.

Farnaud also noted the robust trade relations between Saudi Arabia and the EU, with the EU being Saudi Arabia’s second-largest trading partner. The European Chamber of Commerce in Saudi Arabia held its inauguration on the same day, further enhancing economic ties between the two regions.
