In a groundbreaking move, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and Brazil have joined forces to implement smart Saudi digital technology in tree planting efforts in the Brazilian city of Jatai. Sponsored by the Kingdom’s Ministry of Environment, Water and Agriculture, in collaboration with the Brazilian government, the agreement was sealed during MEWA’s participation in the G20 Young Entrepreneurs’ Alliance Summit in Goiania, Brazil. Hosted by the National Federation of Young Entrepreneurs in Brazil, this summit provided the ideal platform for fostering international cooperation in environmental initiatives.

The partnership aims to facilitate the exchange of knowledge and technology between Saudi Arabia and Brazil, with a focus on reducing carbon emissions and promoting sustainable development. By leveraging each other’s expertise, the two countries seek to strengthen their strategic partnerships and implement joint projects that align with the goals of Vision 2030 in Saudi Arabia.

Represented by various entrepreneurship programs and emerging companies in the sector, the ministry’s participation at the summit underscores its commitment to supporting and empowering entrepreneurs. Ali bin Mohammed Al-Sabhan, the director general of the General Department of Entrepreneurship at the ministry’s Research and Innovation Agency, highlighted the importance of international cooperation in enhancing the entrepreneurship ecosystem in the Kingdom and beyond.
