Saudi Port Authority and Marseille Equivalent Sign Agreement at Vision Golfe 2024

PARIS: The first day of the second edition of Vision Golfe 2024 in Paris was nothing short of monumental as the Saudi Port Authority and Marseille equivalent came together to sign a groundbreaking memorandum of understanding at the esteemed French Ministry of Economy, Finance, and Industrial and Digital Sovereignty.

This momentous agreement solidifies the unwavering commitment of both France and Saudi Arabia to strive for excellence in the realms of trade and maritime transport.

In attendance for this historic signing were Omar Al-Hariri, the illustrious chairman of the Saudi port authority, also known as Mawani, and Hervé Martel, the esteemed chairman of the renowned Port of Marseille Fos. Joining them were distinguished guests including the Saudi Ambassador to France, Fahad Al-Ruwaily, Christophe Castaner, the chairman of the Grand Port Maritime de Marseille, and Laurent Saint Martin, the visionary director general of Business France.

Mawani’s noble mission is to elevate Saudi Arabia to the forefront as a global logistics hub connecting three continents. They oversee a total of ten ports situated in strategic locations across the Persian Gulf, Arabian Sea, and Red Sea, ensuring a seamless flow of goods and services across the region.
