Riyadh’s Prince Mohammed bin Salman Royal Reserve Development Authority Unveils Integrated Development Management Plan

In a groundbreaking announcement, the board of directors of the Prince Mohammed bin Salman Royal Reserve Development Authority revealed the launch of an innovative integrated development management plan. This plan, as reported by Saudi Press Agency on Thursday, is set to revolutionize the 24,500 square kilometer reserve by aligning with global standards across various aspects such as environmental, economic, social, tourism, and cultural elements.

The reserve, located in the northwest of the Kingdom, boasts 15 distinct ecosystems that range from majestic mountain ridges to vibrant coral reefs. This diverse landscape sets the stage for the implementation of the management plan, which aims to ensure the efficient and effective preservation of the reserve’s natural resources.

According to SPA, the management plan is designed to establish key guidelines for the restoration and conservation of wildlife in accordance with the latest global standards. These standards include the implementation of cutting-edge technologies for species reintroduction plans and the development of a framework to enhance the ecotourism ecosystem within the reserve.
