Red Sea Film Foundation Announces Interim CEO

In a recent announcement, the Red Sea Film Foundation, the organization behind the prestigious Red Sea Film Festival in Saudi Arabia, revealed Mohammed Asseri as its interim CEO. This move comes as Mohammed Al-Turki transitions to an advisory role within the foundation.

According to the statement released by the foundation, Al-Turki will continue to provide support to the leadership team while focusing on personal projects and his career as an independent film producer and businessman. The search for a permanent successor is currently underway, and in the meantime, former board member Mohammed Asseri will step in as the acting CEO.

Reflecting on Past Achievements

Jomana Al-Rashid, chair of the Red Sea Film Foundation, expressed her excitement about the recent screening of “Norah” at Cannes, marking a significant milestone for both the foundation and Saudi cinema. She highlighted the hard work and dedication of the team over the past three years, giving credit to Mohammed Al-Turki for his pivotal role in leading the foundation to its current position.

Al-Rashid also shared her anticipation for Al-Turki’s future endeavors as one of Saudi Arabia’s leading film executives. The foundation looks forward to witnessing his continued success in the industry.
