Royal Saudi Air Force Participates in Multinational Air Exercise INIOCHOS 2024 in Greece

The Royal Saudi Air Force made its mark at the multinational air exercise INIOCHOS 2024, held at the Air Tactics Center in Greece, as reported by the Saudi Press Agency on Sunday.

During the two-week exercise, air forces from various countries engaged in a range of simulated combat air operations, including planning cells, command of air missions and campaigns, intelligence missions, and forward air control tasks for close air support operations.

Leading the Saudi contingent in the exercise was Lt. Col. Abdulaziz Al-Harbi, who commended the months of preparation that contributed to meeting all planned objectives at every level.

He lauded the professionalism and high readiness demonstrated by the Saudi air, technical, and support crews throughout the exercise.

INIOCHOS stands out as one of Europe’s largest military exercises, with deployment beginning on April 1 and spanning until April 7. The secondary execution phase followed from April 8 to April 18, with the force redeployment phase taking place from April 19 to April 21.

The Royal Saudi Air Force dispatched six Typhoon aircraft alongside air, technical, and support crews to the exercise, as confirmed by the Kingdom’s Ministry of Defense.

The RSAF members aimed to boost readiness, exchange expertise, simulate real war scenarios, and strategize complex air operations within a multinational forces environment, as highlighted by the ministry.

Participating countries included Cyprus, France, Montenegro, Qatar, Romania, Spain, the UK, and the US.
