Leading the Kingdom’s delegation at the session, Al-Tuwaijri highlighted the government’s extensive cooperation with the review mechanism, emphasizing its importance as a tool for enhancing human rights globally.
Principles of Collaboration in Human Rights
She emphasized that principles such as equality, dialogue, cooperation, neutrality, objectivity, and transparency should serve as the foundation for any collaborative efforts between states in the realm of human rights.
Dedication to Human Rights
Al-Tuwaijri noted Saudi Arabia’s acceptance of over 80 percent of the recommendations from the fourth cycle of the Universal Periodic Review, showcasing the Kingdom’s genuine dedication to human rights.
Reforms and Advancements
Highlighting significant reforms and advancements in human rights in the Kingdom, Al-Tuwaijri emphasized that more than 150 legislative, institutional, judicial, and procedural reforms have been achieved since the adoption of Saudi Vision 2030.
