Saudi Foreign Minister Holds Key Meetings at Ukraine Peace Summit

In a high-stakes diplomatic move, Saudi Arabia’s Foreign Minister Prince Faisal bin Farhan engaged in crucial discussions with his Ukrainian counterpart, Dmytro Kuleba, during the Ukraine Peace Summit in Lucerne, Switzerland.

The meeting centered on the escalating Ukrainian-Russian conflict, exploring avenues to bolster collaboration between the Kingdom and Ukraine, and strategizing on ways to bolster and diversify cooperation across various sectors, according to the Saudi foreign ministry.

Prince Faisal also convened talks with Iraq’s Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Fuad Hussein, delving into the state of affairs between their nations, and deliberating on measures to fortify and advance their ties, along with analyzing the latest regional and global developments.

In a separate encounter with European Council President Charles Michel, discussions revolved around the existing ties and collaborative efforts between the Kingdom and EU nations, with a focus on fostering security and stability in the region and beyond.

Furthermore, Prince Faisal engaged in talks with Norwegian Prime Minister Jonas Gahr Store, further cementing the Kingdom’s diplomatic engagements at the summit.

The Saudi minister’s presence in Lucerne underscored Saudi Arabia’s active role in the international arena, leading the Kingdom’s delegation at the prestigious conference, which has attracted over 100 countries and organizations in pursuit of a resolution to the Russia-Ukraine conflict.
