Exclusive: Saudi HR Ministry’s Rave Reviews of Hajj Workers on Field Visit!

Saudi Minister Commends Ministry Workers for Hajj Efforts

In a visit to the ministry’s Hajj headquarters, Ahmed Al-Rajhi, the minister for human resources and social development in Saudi Arabia, praised the workers for their dedication during this year’s Hajj, as reported by the Saudi Press.

The regulatory teams at the ministry are responsible for ensuring that establishments involved in Hajj operations adhere to labor laws and regulations, a task that was carried out diligently this year.

With over 1.83 million Muslims performing the Hajj, including pilgrims from 22 countries and Saudi citizens, the ministry’s initiatives played a crucial role in supporting both the pilgrims and the workers involved in the annual event.

One of the key services introduced by the ministry was the “Ajeer Al-Hajj” service, which facilitated seasonal work for individuals participating in the Hajj. Additionally, the “Seasonal Visas” service was implemented to streamline the visa process for workers.

In an effort to combat begging during the Hajj, the ministry launched an anti-begging initiative available in multiple languages. The supervision of over 22 childcare centers in Makkah and the holy sites was also part of the ministry’s comprehensive approach to supporting workers and pilgrims.

During his visit, Al-Rajhi also reviewed the various initiatives, services, and volunteer efforts deployed at Makkah’s Grand Mosque and the holy sites, emphasizing the ministry’s commitment to ensuring a smooth and successful Hajj experience for all involved.
