Saudi Actor Fahad Albutairi Talks About His Role in “Al Eid Eiden”
In the new family comedy movie “Al Eid Eiden,” Saudi actor Fahad Albutairi takes on the character of Rashid, a workaholic dad facing various challenges. The film follows a young Saudi-Emirati couple and their three energetic children on vacation at Abu Dhabi’s Yas Island.
Albutairi reveals that two main reasons drew him to the role. Firstly, the character of Rashid being a father resonated with him as he recently became a father himself. Secondly, the rarity of seeing millennials portrayed as parents in the GCC intrigued him.
The film’s all-Emirati female crew, including director Maitha Alawadi, producer Rawia Abdullah, and screenwriter Sara Al-Sayegh, also played a significant role in Albutairi’s decision to join the project.
Albutairi emphasizes the collaborative nature of working with the director and the talented cast, especially highlighting the comedic chemistry with actress Meera Al-Midfa, who plays his wife in the film.
