Yemeni Nationals Arrested for Attempted Qat Smuggling in Jazan
In a dramatic turn of events, Border Guard patrols in Al-Dair, Jazan, have successfully thwarted the efforts of eight Yemeni nationals who were caught red-handed trying to smuggle a whopping 160 kg of qat into the Kingdom.
The suspects, now facing serious charges for violating border security regulations, have been swiftly processed through initial legal procedures. Both the alleged smugglers and the seized substances have been promptly handed over to the appropriate authorities for a thorough investigation.
Expatriates Accused of Fraud Involving Expired Food Products
In a separate incident, three expatriates have landed themselves in hot water after being implicated in a case of fraud concerning expired food products from undisclosed sources. Shockingly, the investigation has uncovered that the suspects were hoarding over 55 tonnes of expired chicken meat from unknown origins, altering their packaging, and falsifying commercial data by providing misleading expiration dates and production locations.
The suspects have been swiftly apprehended and are now facing the consequences as they have been referred to the criminal court to answer for their actions and to receive the penalties prescribed against them under the anti-commercial fraud and commercial data regulations.
