Saudi Shoura Council Delegation Participates in Inter-Parliamentary Union Assembly in Geneva
A delegation from the Saudi Shoura Council recently attended the 148th Assembly of the Inter-Parliamentary Union in Geneva, Switzerland. The meetings, held from March 23 to March 27, focused on the theme of “Parliamentary diplomacy: Building bridges for peace and understanding.”
During the discussions, delegates engaged in lively debates and exchanged views on how parliamentary action can contribute to peace and understanding. According to the Saudi Press Agency, Shoura Council Assistant Speaker Dr. Hanan Al-Ahmadi emphasized the council’s commitment to showcasing Saudi Arabia’s role in promoting global security and stability.
Dr. Al-Ahmadi highlighted the importance that the Shoura Council places on inter-parliamentary work and diplomacy, recognizing their potential to strengthen relationships between the Kingdom and other nations. She emphasized that these meetings provide a platform for Saudi Arabia to express its perspectives on various issues.
