The Ministry of Interior’s Makkah Route Initiative at Soekarno-Hatta International Airport in Jakarta, Indonesia, is going above and beyond to provide exceptional services to Indonesian pilgrims, guaranteeing a seamless and comfortable Hajj journey.

Grateful Elderly Pilgrims Praise Ease of Procedures

According to the Saudi Press Agency, elderly pilgrims have expressed gratitude for the smooth procedures in place. Siti Munasaru, a 69-year-old pilgrim from Tangerang, commended the efficiency of the Hajj procedures and extended her heartfelt thanks to Saudi Arabia and those behind the initiative.

Suwatini Binti Amat, a 68-year-old pilgrim from Purworejo, Central Java, also expressed her gratitude to the Kingdom for the excellent services provided to pilgrims. She emphasized that the Makkah Route Initiative has significantly alleviated the challenges faced during traditional travel, especially for elderly pilgrims, making their Hajj journey more comfortable and secure.

Reduced Waiting Times and Enhanced Convenience

The Makkah Route Initiative has not only reduced waiting times but also enhanced the convenience of the pilgrimage journey to the holy land. This initiative reflects the strong collaboration between Saudi Arabia and Indonesia, highlighting their commitment to offering top-notch services to pilgrims in alignment with the Kingdom’s Vision 2030.

Comprehensive Services for Pilgrims

Services provided under the initiative include issuing electronic Hajj visas, collecting biometric data, completing passport procedures in specialized lounges at departure airports, ensuring compliance with health requirements, and efficiently tagging and sorting luggage. Upon arrival in the Kingdom, designated pathways are assigned, and partner agencies ensure the hassle-free delivery of pilgrims’ luggage to their accommodations.
