Islamic Development Bank Boosts Development Projects with $368.98 Million Financing Package

In a move to support new development projects in Turkiye, Turkmenistan, and Suriname, the Islamic Development Bank has approved a significant financing package totaling $368.98 million. This funding is set to make a positive impact on various sectors in these countries.

Enhancing Education, Healthcare, and Energy Infrastructure

The financing includes $165 million specifically allocated to improve education in Turkiye, with a focus on inclusivity, equity, and quality. Turkmenistan will receive $156.3 million to enhance access to high-quality oncology services, while Suriname will benefit from $47.68 million to strengthen its power transmission and distribution network.

Approved by IsDB President and Group Chairman Muhammad Al-Jasser, this initiative aligns with the bank’s mission to promote comprehensive human development.
