Jaw-dropping Fashion Technology Hackathon at Jeddah College!

JEDDAH’S TECHNICAL FEMALE COLLEGE HOSTS FASHION TECHNOLOGY HACKATHON

In a bid to ignite innovation and creativity in the fashion industry, the Technical Female College in Jeddah kicked off a three-day Fashion Technology Hackathon, as reported by the Saudi Press Agency.

The event, under the supervision of the general administration for student activities, saw the presence of Marei Al-Qarni, the director general of technical and vocational training in the Makkah region.

Dean Afra Al-Layati described the hackathon as a groundbreaking initiative that brings together trainees, graduates, and students from various technical colleges and universities who share a common interest in fashion and technology.

Participants are immersed in an environment that fosters creativity, with a focus on developing cutting-edge concepts and models.

The Fashion Technology Hackathon aims to spark competition, nurture innovation, and enhance scientific skills in alignment with the country’s forward-thinking vision.

The hackathon features three distinct tracks: sustainability, technical solutions, and traditional clothing, catering to Saudi trainees and graduates specializing in fashion design, manufacturing, computer science, software engineering, and other technology-related fields relevant to the fashion industry.

In addition to the hackathon, attendees can explore an immersive exhibition, attend advisory sessions, participate in workshops, and take part in educational visits, as per the SPA report.
