Jeddah Season 2024 Kicks Off with a Bang
The highly anticipated Jeddah Season 2024 officially opened on Thursday, setting the city abuzz with excitement under the theme “Once Again.”
The grand opening ceremony took place at the Jeddah Art Promenade, graced by the presence of Prince Saud bin Mishal bin Abdulaziz Al-Saud, deputy governor of the Makkah region, and Prince Saud bin Abdullah bin Jalawi, governor of Jeddah.
Attendees were treated to an extravagant display of drone shows, fireworks, and captivating visual presentations as the diverse lineup of events for the season was unveiled.
Local resident Abdul Rahman exclaimed, “The fireworks were simply breathtaking! The spectacular display lasted for a good 15 to 20 minutes, leaving the entire crowd spellbound.”
Another visitor, Sana Hamid, marveled, “I have never witnessed such a massive turnout for an opening ceremony. It was truly magical, and I can only imagine the incredible experiences awaiting us in the days ahead.”
With a duration of 60 days, Jeddah Season 2024 promises a plethora of activities and events catering to every interest. Beyond entertainment, the season aims to stimulate the Kingdom’s economy and create opportunities for the youth.
Art enthusiasts can indulge in “Imagine Monet,” an exhibition featuring 200 masterpieces by the renowned French artist. For the younger audience, Joy Plex offers a vibrant array of themed play areas to explore and enjoy.
Opening day highlights included the Beach Club at Ash Shati, offering a luxurious retreat experience until August 17, and Warner Bros. Discovery, where visitors can interact with beloved cartoon and comic book characters such as Tom and Jerry, Batman, and Superman.
City Walk makes a return for its fourth year, offering interactive experiences, games, theatrical performances, dining options, and shopping opportunities. Additionally, Prince Majid Park will host a series of events and concerts in the upcoming weeks.
