Jerry Seinfeld’s Epic Clapback to Pro-Palestinian Protesters

Jerry Seinfeld Claps Back at Pro-Palestinian Protesters

In a recent turn of events, US comedian Jerry Seinfeld has fired back at Pro-Palestinian protesters, labeling the protests against his comedy shows as “so dumb.” He went on to suggest that demonstrators should “correct their aim.”

The 70-year-old funnyman found himself at the receiving end of heckling during a standup gig and faced a mass walkout of students during his commencement speech at Duke University earlier this month.

Setting the Record Straight

During a conversation with host Bari Weiss on her podcast Honestly, Seinfeld expressed his thoughts on the protests, stating, “I love that these young people, they’re trying to get engaged with politics. We have to just correct their aim a little bit. They don’t seem to understand that, as comedians, we really don’t control anything.”

When asked about his personal reaction to facing protests, Seinfeld shrugged it off, saying, “It’s so silly. It’s like, they want to express this sincere, intense rage. But again, a little off target.”

Embracing the Comedy

Seinfeld further elaborated, “So that’s, to me, comedic. We’re tribal animals. We’re social creatures. We look for agreement and consensus. We’re driven by agreement and consensus and mob rule — it gives us comfort, gives us certainty.”

In light of recent events, Seinfeld has been vocal in his support for Israel following Hamas’ Oct. 7 attack. He even took the initiative to meet with families of hostages and visit a kibbutz during a trip to Israel in December.

The Duke University Walkout

The walkout at Duke’s graduation ceremony serves as a reflection of the ongoing protests that have swept across US campuses. Students are demanding universities to divest from arms suppliers and other companies profiting from the war.
