The state-run Kuwait Petroleum Corp.’s flagship facility churns out a whopping 86,000 bpd of premium naphtha, 99,000 bpd of jet fuel, and 147,000 bpd of low-sulfur diesel on a daily basis, as per the latest report by the Saudi Press Agency.

Al-Zour, the second-largest refinery in the Middle East and the seventh largest in the world in terms of daily capacity, is set to significantly boost Kuwait’s crude oil exports and enhance its global competitiveness by producing top-notch oil-based products.

Oil continues to dominate Kuwait’s exports, accounting for 95% of total exports and 90% of government export revenue, as per the International Trade Administration. OPEC data reveals that the country’s crude oil exports hit 1.879 million bpd in 2022, with oil contributing $41,493 to the GDP per capita.
