Latest: Saudi sends 45th relief plane to Egypt for Gaza aid

Saudi Relief Plane Arrives in Egypt to Support Palestinians in Gaza

In a display of solidarity and humanitarian aid, the 45th Saudi relief plane touched down in Al-Arish, Egypt on Friday. Operated by the aid agency KSrelief in coordination with the Ministry of Defense, the plane brought much-needed food and shelter items for Palestinians in the Gaza Strip.

This assistance is a testament to the Kingdom’s unwavering commitment to supporting the Palestinian people during times of crisis.

However, amidst the ongoing struggles in Gaza, a new threat looms. The UN humanitarian coordinator in Gaza warned of the spread of waterborne diseases due to a lack of clean water and soaring temperatures.

Contaminated water and inadequate sanitation have been attributed to the rise of diseases such as cholera, diarrhea, dysentery, and hepatitis A, as reported by the World Health Organization.

Since mid-October, following the recent assault on Gaza in response to attacks by Hamas in southern Israel, WHO has documented over 345,000 cases of diarrhea, with more than 105,000 affecting children under the age of 5.
