Riyadh: KSrelief Performs 40 Orthopedic Surgeries in Yemen

In a remarkable display of humanitarian aid, the Kingdom’s aid agency KSrelief conducted 40 orthopedic surgeries in Yemen’s Hadhramaut governorate from July 13 to 20.

Led by seven specialists, these surgeries were part of a volunteer medical project in the Seiyun district, as reported by the Saudi Press Agency.

During this time, the KSrelief team also examined 69 patients, providing much-needed medical care to those in need.

Furthermore, the team organized a workshop on orthopedic surgery and knee injuries, benefiting 15 doctors in the region.

In another significant development, KSrelief’s Supervisor-General Dr. Abdullah Al-Rabeeah held a meeting with the UN Resident and Humanitarian Coordinator in Yemen, Julien Harneis, in Riyadh.

The focus of their discussion was on finding ways to alleviate the suffering of the Yemeni people, who have been severely impacted by the ongoing conflict.

Harneis praised Saudi Arabia for its relentless humanitarian and relief efforts in providing assistance to those in need in the war-torn nation.
