Saudi Red Crescent Authority in Makkah Region Reports Impressive Volunteer Statistics

In a recent announcement, the Saudi Red Crescent Authority in the Makkah region shared its volunteer statistics for the second quarter of 2024, showcasing an impressive total of 79,128 volunteer hours.

The volunteer opportunities offered by the authority are diverse, ranging from providing crucial first-aid services to worshippers in the courtyards of the Holy Mosque in Makkah to participating in national occasions, international days, events, humanitarian aid missions, and sports events.

Moreover, the authority has conducted several first-aid courses to equip male and female volunteers with essential skills and knowledge.

Makkah stands out as the region with the highest number of volunteer initiatives, offering 273 opportunities, followed by the Jeddah governorate with 207 opportunities and the Taif governorate with 104 opportunities.

The volunteer medical staff comprises professionals from various specialties, including consultants, general practitioners, and emergency medicine doctors. The authority remains dedicated to enhancing the capabilities of its volunteers by organizing specialized courses and providing training in alignment with its mission and scope of work.
