Ali Alhasan, a Ph.D. holder in nanomedicine, is not your average CEO. With expertise in nano-drug delivery and gene therapy, and five years of experience in executive management, Alhasan is a force to be reckoned with in the world of deep tech.
Driving Innovation and Collaboration
As the CEO of NanoPalm, Alhasan is responsible for formulating strategic business plans to accelerate therapy translation globally. He also plays a key role in training talents in deep tech, nanotech, and gene editing technology.
Alhasan is a co-developer of cutting-edge deep tech that leverages large language models for biotech discovery. He has also co-invented Nanopalm’s revolutionary biorobots for the delivery of gene editing primers and has been instrumental in the discovery of four nanomedicines for various genetic diseases.
A Leader in Academia
Not content with just running a successful company, Alhasan is also an associate professor at King Abdulaziz City for Science and Technology and an adjunct professor at Alfaisal University. In these roles, he is at the forefront of research and innovation in nanomedicine and the fourth industrial revolution.
As an associate professor, Alhasan leads research efforts in nanomedicine and drives innovation in the field. As an adjunct professor, he imparts his knowledge to students and co-established the Cancer Nanoscience Program.

He was honored with the Leader of the Year award from the Ministry of Communication and Information Technology in 2024, and in 2018, he received the Outstanding Investigator Award from KACST. Additionally, he was recognized with the Outstanding Researcher Award from the International Institute for Nanotechnology in 2012.
