Abdulaziz Ibrahim Alnowaiser Appointed CEO of King Abdullah Economic City

In a recent move, Abdulaziz Ibrahim Alnowaiser has been appointed as the new CEO of King Abdullah Economic City by the board of directors of Emaar, the Economic City. His tenure is set to begin on May 1, 2024.

Alnowaiser’s selection is based on his exceptional ability to steer the company towards its long-term strategic goals. Cyril Piaia, the current CEO, will transition into the role of advisor to Alnowaiser, ensuring a smooth transfer of responsibilities.

Taking on the role of CEO, Alnowaiser will be tasked with providing strategic direction for EEC and KAEC’s long-term planning, while also promoting innovation and sustainable development throughout the organization and the city.

Boasting over twenty years of executive and board-level experience, Alnowaiser brings a wealth of expertise in management, finance, and corporate governance to his new position.

His most recent position was as the CEO of Tahakom Investments Co., a subsidiary of the Public Investment Fund with interests in various sectors such as technology, aviation, and real estate investments.

Prior to this, Alnowaiser has held key roles including CEO of Arabian Internet and Communications Services Co., CFO of Al-Othaim Real Investment and Development Co., and CEO of the House of National Consulting Co.

Since 2020, Alnowaiser has served as the chairman of the board and executive committee at Tawuniya Insurance Co., following a stint as a board member from 2015 to 2019.

Equipped with degrees in accounting, finance, and information systems, along with a diploma in international financial reporting standards and other professional certifications, Alnowaiser is well-equipped for his new role.
