Meet Noel Gomes: The New CEO of ASCES, Al-Halloul, Al-Badila
Noel Gomes stepped into the role of CEO at ASCES, Al-Halloul, Al-Badila (Alternative Solutions Company for Environmental Services) in July 2024, bringing with him a wealth of experience and a vision for transforming waste management.
With over 25 years in the financial sector, Gomes is no stranger to leadership and innovation. His mission at ASCES is clear: to revolutionize waste disposal practices and promote a circular economy that prioritizes sustainability.
ASCES, a Saudi private company, is dedicated to global waste management solutions, and under Gomes’ guidance, it is set to become a pioneer in resource-efficient and environmentally friendly processes.
Gomes’ journey to the helm of ASCES began in Portugal, where he honed his financial management skills at PwC. From there, he held key positions in multinational corporations such as Asea Brown Boveri and Novagest, where he played a crucial role in financial strategy and management.
His expertise was further showcased at Lyon and LLeon Group, where he oversaw financial operations and contributed to the companies’ growth in Portugal and Angola.
In 2022, Gomes ventured into business consultancy in the UAE, expanding international relations and partnerships at Sheikh Ahmed bin Faisal Al-Qassimi’s private office. He later steered international projects at Heights and Jewels, working closely with a member of the Saudi royal family.
Outside of the corporate world, Gomes is a prominent figure in the football sector, providing strategic advice to investors, clubs, agents, and players to facilitate lucrative deals and network expansion.
His academic background is equally impressive, with a degree in financial audit from the Lisbon Accounting and Business School and a bachelor’s degree in accounting and administration from Instituto Militar dos Pupilos do Exercito in Portugal.
With Gomes at the helm, ASCES is poised to lead the way in sustainable waste management practices, setting a new standard for environmental stewardship in the industry.
