Rana Banafa, a Saudi entrepreneur and founder of the vegan cosmetics brand MrayaBeauty, has leveraged her pharmaceutical expertise to develop products tailored for individuals with sensitive skin.
With a personal experience of sensitive skin, Banafa decided to use her scientific background to craft her own line of skincare and beauty products. She expressed her passion for skincare and beauty, emphasizing her ability to understand ingredients and their combinations to create safe and effective products.
MrayaBeauty offers a variety of vegan makeup products for the face, eyes, and lips, including makeup brushes. The brand prides itself on being halal-friendly, cruelty-free, free of parabens and sulfates, and packaged sustainably.
While the journey has not been without challenges, Banafa noted the difficulty of finding certified manufacturers in China who work with cruelty-free ingredients. However, the brand remains committed to its ethical standards.
“The products are made from plant derivatives, ensuring that nothing is derived from animals or tested on animals,” Banafa emphasized.
