Saleh Al-Furaih Takes the Helm at Saudi National Bank’s Digital Ventures and Payments Co.
In a recent development, Saleh Al-Furaih has been appointed as the CEO of the Saudi National Bank’s Digital Ventures and Payments Co., a new company dedicated to expanding digital banking services and payments within the bank.
With over 25 years of experience in the financial sector and financial technology, Al-Furaih brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to his new role. Prior to this appointment, he held key positions at Sonomi Group and noon.com in Saudi Arabia, showcasing his leadership skills and strategic vision.
Al-Furaih’s impressive career includes stints as the general manager of retail banking at Bank Albilad and various leadership roles at Al-Rajhi Bank. He holds a bachelor’s degree from King Fahd University of Petroleum and Minerals, a master’s degree from the University of Southern California in Los Angeles, and a Ph.D. from Newcastle University, all in the field of computer science.
In his new position, Al-Furaih emphasized the importance of translating strategic objectives into tangible results. He praised the progress made by the Saudi National Bank in digital technology, aligning with the goals of the Financial Sector Development Program under Vision 2030. This program aims to boost the digital economy and foster technological innovation in financial services.
