Saudi National Bank Appoints Tareq Al-Sadhan as CEO

Get ready for a new era at Saudi National Bank as Tareq Al-Sadhan takes the helm as CEO, starting May 1, 2024.

Prior to this prestigious appointment, Al-Sadhan was the dynamic president and CEO of Riyadh Bank, where he made waves since April 2019.

But that’s not all – from January 2018 to March 2019, he held the esteemed position of senior executive vice president at Riyadh Bank.

Al-Sadhan’s journey to the top included a successful stint at KPMG Saudi Arabia, where he climbed the corporate ladder for 18 years to become one of the firm’s youngest partners.

His leadership skills were truly put to the test during his final five years at KPMG, where he simultaneously held the roles of CEO, managing partner, and chairman of the advisory committee.

Not content with just excelling in the private sector, Al-Sadhan also made a mark in the Kingdom’s public sector. He served in key positions such as adviser to the chairman of the Saudi Fund for Development, acting director-general at the General Authority for Zakat and Tax, and deputy governor for supervision at the Saudi Central Bank.

When it comes to education, Al-Sadhan is no slouch. He holds a bachelor’s degree in administration science from King Saud University, with a major in accounting, and a master’s degree in business management from Ecole Nationale des Ponts et Chaussees in France.

In addition, he’s earned diplomas in international business from the University of Edinburgh in 2006 and in leadership development and strategy from INSEAD in 2010.

Al-Sadhan’s professional accolades include being a fellow of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Saudi Organization for Certified Public Accountants.

He’s also lent his expertise to organizations like the Public Investment Fund, where he’s been an audit committee member since March 2019, and Mastercard, where he serves as an advisory board member since March 2018.

With such an impressive track record, there’s no doubt that Al-Sadhan is ready to lead Saudi National Bank to new heights.
