Dr. Carina Lanfredi is not your average executive director at Diriyah Gate. Since May 2023, she has been shaking things up with her strategic vision and leadership skills.

Revamping and Restructuring

One of Lanfredi’s main responsibilities is revamping and restructuring the group’s procurement contract and claims management function. She is all about aligning local needs with core corporate objectives and enhancing governance while redefining process flows.

Strengthening Partnerships

But that’s not all. Lanfredi has also made significant contributions to strengthening partnerships and resolving large-scale claims and disputes. She’s a force to be reckoned with in the business world.

A Track Record of Success

Before taking on her role at Diriyah Gate, Lanfredi worked as a contract and claims management consultant between 2020 and 2023. She led a team of five on cross-sector projects in five countries, providing strategic consultancy and guidance to improve business efficiencies.

From 2018 to 2020, Lanfredi served as the group executive director of Veon Procurement in the Netherlands. Her duties included restructuring contract management functions across Europe, Africa, and Asia.

A Global Perspective

Throughout her career from 2002 to 2017, Lanfredi held leadership roles at Thyssen-Krupp, Bilfinger AG, and Siemens in Germany. She established a comprehensive global contract and claims management function, transformed the group contracting process, and managed politically sensitive litigation.

Continuous Learning

Lanfredi’s thirst for knowledge is unquenchable. She received a certificate in innovation and entrepreneurship from Stanford University in 2020, professional training in leading high-performing businesses from the European School of Management and Technology in Berlin in 2017, and professional training in general management from the executive development program at the University of Mannheim in 2014.

Education and Languages

Dr. Lanfredi earned a dual doctorate in business administration in 2010 from Universidad Mayor in Chile and a master’s degree in engineering law and international dispute resolution from the University of Central Lancashire in the UK in 2007. She is fluent in five languages — English, Spanish, Portuguese, Italian, and German.
