NEOM extends partnership with AFC until 2029 – Exciting news!

Saudi Arabia’s NEOM Renews Partnership with AFC Until 2029

In a groundbreaking collaboration, Saudi Arabia’s $500 billion giga-project NEOM has extended its partnership with the Asian Football Confederation (AFC) until 2029. This renewed deal solidifies NEOM as the official global partner of AFC national team and club competitions, as well as the presenting partner of the first pan-Asian AFC Women’s Champions League.

Building Inclusivity and Empowering Women in Sports

The goal of this agreement is to promote inclusivity in sports and support the development of women’s football across Asia. This aligns with NEOM’s vision to become an innovative hub for sport and foster a physically active society globally.

Creating Opportunities and Driving Positive Change

Nadhmi Al-Nasr, CEO of NEOM, emphasized the value of partnering with a global football leader like the AFC. The collaboration aims to create opportunities and contribute positively to the development of sports across Asia. Through initiatives like the “Champions of Progress,” NEOM and the AFC are using football as a platform to drive positive change in the region.

Engaging Fans and Supporting Local Communities

The partnership between NEOM and the AFC not only aims to engage millions of passionate football fans in Asia but also to support the livability of NEOM’s residents and boost the project’s dynamic economy. NEOM is committed to becoming one of the world’s most physically active societies, with a focus on grassroots development programs for youth in Saudi Arabia.

Empowering Youth and Creating Unique Experiences

Through collaborations like the Shuhub Community Program, NEOM has already engaged thousands of young people in Saudi Arabia. Local boys and girls have had the opportunity to participate in AFC matches as player mascots, center circle children, and even the first-ever trophy handover children at the AFC Champions League 23/24 Final.
