New Arabic Cancer Education Site Launches in Saudi Arabia!

Zahra Breast Cancer Association and Nestle Health Science Launch Arabic Version of “My Cancer My Nutrition” Website

In a groundbreaking collaboration, the Zahra Breast Cancer Association and Nestle Health Science have joined forces to launch an Arabic version of the well-known “My Cancer My Nutrition” website. This initiative aims to educate patients, survivors, and their families about proper nutrition and care in the Arabic language.

Strategic Partnership for Healthcare Services

The agreement was signed in Jeddah by Hanadi Alouthah, CEO of the association, and Robert Helou, CEO of Nestle Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, and Oman. Hanzade Yaz, Nestle’s business executive officer for the region, was also present at the signing ceremony. Dr. Suad bint Mohamed Bin-Amer, founder of the association, expressed her pleasure in signing this strategic partnership with Nestle Health Science, emphasizing their commitment to providing a broader range of healthcare services to beneficiaries.

Nutrition Education for Cancer Patients

Dr. Bin-Amer highlighted the importance of nutrition in cancer treatment, stating that the “My Cancer My Nutrition” platform will help patients learn about nutrition needs during treatment and how to manage treatment side effects that may impact their eating habits. She emphasized that eating the right foods can help patients feel better and stay stronger throughout their treatment journey.

Commitment to Public Health

Robert Helou reiterated Nestle’s and Zahra NGO’s commitment to improving public health and supporting the local community. He emphasized the shared vision between the two organizations, stating that they are dedicated to supporting Zahra’s initiatives aimed at increasing healthcare awareness and knowledge for women in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. He also highlighted the alignment of this initiative with Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030, which emphasizes improving public health and quality of life for all citizens.

Panel Discussion and Medical Expertise

The signing ceremony was attended by Dr. Omar Iskandarani, an oncology consultant at King Abdulaziz University Hospital. Additionally, several cancer survivors participated in a panel discussion at the event, sharing their experiences and insights with the audience.
