Riyadh Launches Campaign to Ensure Safe Animal Sacrifice Ahead of Eid Al-Adha
In preparation for Eid Al-Adha, a campaign has been launched in Madinah province to educate the public on selecting healthy animals for sacrifice. The initiative, known as “My Sacrifice,” is spearheaded by the Ministry of Environment, Water, and Agriculture’s Department of Animal Wealth, as reported by the Saudi Press Agency.
“The campaign, overseen by specialists and veterinarians, aims to showcase proper methods for preserving meat and preventing contamination,” stated SPA.
The campaign involves visits to livestock markets to educate participants on essential health standards for sacrificial animals. Experts will provide guidance on selecting suitable animals, emphasizing factors like age.
Additionally, an educational exhibition will be held at a commercial complex in the region, along with a special studio for children, according to the report.
This year, Eid Al-Adha is set to take place on June 16.
