Saudi Arabia Gears Up for Hajj with Over 267,000 Pilgrims Arriving
RIYADH: The countdown to this year’s Hajj has begun as Saudi Arabia welcomes a staggering 267,657 pilgrims who have arrived via air, land, and sea as of May 19, according to the General Directorate of Passports.
The directorate is leaving no stone unturned in ensuring a seamless entry process for the pilgrims at all arrival points. They are utilizing cutting-edge platforms equipped with the latest technological advancements and staffed with experts proficient in multiple languages, as reported by the Saudi Press Agency.
Scheduled to kick off on June 14 and conclude on June 19 for the Hijri year 1445, this year’s Hajj season has already witnessed the influx of pilgrims with flights touching down in the Kingdom since May 9.
