Prophet’s Mosque Upgrades Services for Elderly & Disabled – See the Changes!

The General Authority for the Affairs of the Two Holy Mosques Enhancing Services for Elderly and Disabled Visitors in the Prophet’s Mosque

In an effort to better serve pilgrims and visitors, the General Authority for the Affairs of the Two Holy Mosques is ramping up its efforts in the Prophet’s Mosque in Madinah, with a special focus on the elderly and persons with disabilities.

The authority is going above and beyond to provide top-notch services for the elderly and disabled individuals. They have set up 10 designated prayer areas near the gates of the mosque, four prayer rooms in the northern expansion, three prayer rooms in the western expansion, and three in the eastern expansion.

Furthermore, a special room for the deaf and mute has been prepared on the roof of the Prophet’s Mosque. This room can accommodate up to 100 people to perform prayers, and it offers sign language interpretation for them to understand the content of the Friday sermon.

In addition to these facilities, the authority is also offering electric golf carts and wheelchairs to make it easier for pilgrims and worshipers to move around within the Prophet’s Mosque and its courtyards. This initiative aims to ensure that all visitors have a comfortable and inclusive experience during their time at the mosque.
