Red Sea Fund Now Accepting Production Stage Project Applications – Apply Today!

The Red Sea Fund Launches Second Phase of Fourth Cycle to Support Film Projects

The Red Sea Fund has just announced the exciting launch of the second phase of its fourth cycle, specifically aimed at supporting film projects in the production stage.

Running until April 30, according to the Saudi Press Agency, the fund is on the lookout for bold and original ideas that cover a wide range of subjects, with the goal of informing, educating, and entertaining global audiences. They are currently accepting feature fiction, documentary, episodic, or animation films from interested applicants.

In a new development, the fund is now welcoming applications from directors of Arab and African origin and nationality. This includes feature-length fiction projects (minimum length 60 minutes), documentaries, and animation projects.

The fund is particularly focused on supporting film projects that are ready for production, including feature films (no shorter than 60 minutes), whether fiction or animation, by Arab directors or those of Arab origin or African nationality.

Furthermore, the fund is also extending its support to series (25-59 minutes per episode) by Arab directors or those of Arab origin or African nationality, as well as short films (less than 60 minutes), whether fiction, documentary, or animation, by Saudi directors.

Known as a major player in the world of Arab and African film financing, the Red Sea Fund operates through four cycles to provide support for projects in the development, production, and post-production stages.
