Red Sea International Airport launches exciting international flights

Red Sea International Airport Launches Inaugural International Flights

TABUK: The Red Sea International Airport has officially announced the commencement of its first-ever international flights. After operating a regular schedule of domestic flights by Saudia since September 2023, the airport is now gearing up for its first international arrival on April 18.

The inaugural international flight will be operated by flydubai, offering a new twice-weekly service from Dubai to RSI. With the addition of flydubai services, RSI will now host a total of eight regular flights per week, providing increased connectivity for residents of the Red Sea regions along the western coast of Saudi Arabia.

John Pagano, the group CEO at Red Sea Global, expressed his excitement about the milestone, stating, “Situated within three hours flying time of 250 million people, RSI is set to accommodate 1 million guests annually at full capacity. Our journey began just six months ago with our inaugural flight, and this first international flight marks a significant step towards establishing Saudi Arabia as a top global tourism destination.”

“We are eager to open our doors to the world and welcome visitors from the UAE, the wider Middle East region, and beyond,” Pagano added. “RSI plays a crucial role in providing connectivity for our employees, partners, and the local community.”

Michael White, RSI’s chief commercial officer, also shared his enthusiasm for the airport’s growth, stating, “The arrival of international travelers signals an exciting new chapter in RSI’s development, following the successful launch of domestic flights last year. We are dedicated to providing exceptional services to both passengers and airlines, and we are committed to expanding our network to serve the Red Sea region and travelers worldwide.”
