Riyadh Doctors Save Jordanian Pilgrim from Stroke in Madinah

In a dramatic turn of events, a 72-year-old Jordanian pilgrim in Madinah was rescued from a stroke this week with the help of doctors working remotely from Riyadh, as reported by the Saudi Press Agency on Wednesday.

The specialized medical team in telestroke medicine, affiliated with the Seha Virtual Hospital in Riyadh, sprang into action to aid the pilgrim, who had a history of chronic illness and was being treated at the Madinah General Hospital.

In a remarkable display of collaboration, doctors from the Ministry of Health, the Seha Virtual Hospital, and the Madinah General Hospital worked together to locate a brain clot and successfully performed a cerebral catheterization procedure on the patient.

Thanks to their swift intervention, the pilgrim is now on the road to recovery, according to the SPA.

This heartwarming story comes amidst the backdrop of the ongoing Hajj pilgrimage, with a total of 5,466 volunteers stationed across 16 locations in Madinah and Makkah to provide vital first aid and emergency care to pilgrims this year.
