Revolutionary Contractors Database Unveiled for Saudi Vision 2030 Success

Saudi Contractors Authority Launches Database to Boost Construction Industry

In a bold move to support the Kingdom’s ambitious Vision 2030 projects worth SR1.2 trillion ($319 billion), the Saudi Contractors Authority has introduced a groundbreaking database to rate contractors in the construction industry.

Empowering Contractors for Success

The new initiative aims to empower contractors by providing them with opportunities to showcase their expertise and enhance the quality of their projects. This aligns perfectly with the authority’s mission to elevate the industry through high organizational standards, innovation, skill development, and economic sustainability.

Building a Strong Contracting Sector

During a recent ceremony celebrating the SCA’s achievements over the past three years, the authority’s chairman emphasized the importance of preparing a robust contracting sector to drive the Vision 2030 projects forward. Under his leadership, the number of registered contractors has skyrocketed by 400 percent, reaching over 18,000, including 1,200 international contractors.

Global Partnerships and Collaborations

The SCA has forged over 10 agreements with major global contracting sectors and actively participates in government committees to enhance industry communication and collaboration. A notable collaboration was the MoU signed with the National Housing Co. in 2023 to boost efficiency and cooperation within the sector.

Leading the Way in the Middle East

As a semi-governmental organization, the SCA is dedicated to addressing industry challenges and creating a more attractive business environment for contractors. Its leadership role in the Islamic Contractors Union and establishment of the Kingdom as its headquarters have solidified Saudi Arabia’s position as a key player in the global contracting industry.

Thriving Construction Market

The Saudi contractor industry is experiencing rapid growth, driven by significant investments and ambitious projects under Vision 2030. With the construction market projected to reach $91.36 billion by 2029, contractors have ample opportunities in residential, commercial, industrial, infrastructure, transportation, and energy sectors.
