Riyadh: Makkah Route Initiative Enhances Pilgrim Experience with AI Technology
The Makkah Route Initiative has revolutionized the Hajj experience for pilgrims by incorporating AI technology to streamline services, as reported by Saudi Press Agency on Sunday.
Utilizing cutting-edge technology and digital solutions, the initiative aims to simplify the pilgrimage journey, especially through fast-tracked entry procedures into Saudi Arabia via exclusive lounges at pilgrims’ home country airports.
Advanced digital technology is at the core of the initiative, ensuring pilgrims receive top-notch services and the utmost comfort throughout their journey.
Services offered include electronic Hajj visa issuance, biometric data collection, expedited passport procedures at specialized lounges in departure airports, verification of health requirements, and efficient luggage tagging and sorting. Upon arrival in the Kingdom, designated pathways are assigned, and partner agencies ensure smooth delivery of pilgrims’ luggage to their accommodations.
Hafiz Tahir Ashrafi, Chairman of Pakistan Ulema Council President, commended the initiative for simplifying procedures for pilgrims in their home countries and upon arrival.
He lauded the program for making the Hajj journey more convenient, straightforward, and quicker, expressing gratitude to the Saudi government and the Kingdom’s leadership for their dedication to serving pilgrims with the highest technological standards.
