Riyadh Eid slaughterhouses under Ministry supervision!

Slaughterhouses in Riyadh Region Busier Than Ever

In a bustling display of activity, slaughterhouses in the Riyadh region have been working tirelessly during Eid Al-Adha, with a staggering 8,623 slaughters recorded on the fourth day of the festival.

Supervised by specialized teams from the Saudi Ministry of Environment, Water, and Agriculture, both fixed and mobile slaughterhouses have been conducting regulatory operations and providing vital veterinary inspection services for all livestock.

The ministry’s technical teams have been on the move, carrying out 277 regulatory tours of markets and slaughterhouses in Riyadh, along with 510 visits to shops, stalls, and yards in the region’s markets. These efforts have resulted in the issuance of 14 warnings and one violation for non-compliance with health regulations in slaughterhouses.

Moreover, in a heartwarming show of community spirit, citizens and residents have been actively participating in the initiative “One-third of the sacrifice,” donating meat to families in need.

The Ministry of Environment, Water, and Agriculture’s branch in the Riyadh region has truly gone above and beyond this Eid Al-Adha season. From early preparations for organizing main and temporary sheep markets to overseeing regular and mobile slaughterhouses, their efforts have not gone unnoticed.
