As a child, Zaini’s love for caricatures and comic strips was ignited by newspapers, Japanese anime series, and iconic films like “Finding Nemo,” “Toy Story,” and “Monsters, Inc.”
Bringing Saudi Culture to Life
Growing up in Saudi Arabia, Zaini was influenced by the last-page comics in local newspapers that carried social messages. This later evolved into the popular YouTube animation series ‘Masameer’. He believes in the importance of localizing animation to inspire younger generations with a unique Saudi identity.

Zaini sees animation as a universal language that can connect with both adults and children. Its abstract nature allows it to transcend cultural barriers and excite the imagination of viewers around the world.
A Journey in Animation
After studying fine arts and animation in California, Zaini returned to Saudi Arabia to kickstart his career. In 2018, he founded Zaini Studios, which has since grown with hard work and dedication.
