Saudi Arabia celebrates Qur’an memorization award winners

Riyadh Governor Honors Winners of King Salman bin Abdulaziz Award

In a grand ceremony, Riyadh Gov. Prince Faisal bin Bandar bestowed honors upon the exceptional winners of the 25th session of the prestigious King Salman bin Abdulaziz Award for Qur’an Memorization, Recitation, and Interpretation.

As Prince Faisal graced the venue with his presence, he was warmly welcomed by Najran Gov. Prince Jalawi bin Abdulaziz bin Musaed, Minister of Islamic Affairs, Dawah and Guidance Dr. Abdullatif bin Abdulaziz Al-Asheikh, Media Minister Salman bin Yousef Al-Dossary, and the general director of the religious affairs administration of the Saudi Armed Forces, Musfer bin Hassan Al-Essa.

Dr. Al-Asheikh expressed his heartfelt congratulations to over 3,000 dedicated male and female participants, with a special mention to the 125 talented contestants who made it to the final stages and emerged as winners in various categories of the competition. He also conveyed his gratitude to the Saudi leadership for their unwavering attention and support towards this noble cause.

Highlighting the profound impact of the competition on the youth of the nation, Dr. Al-Asheikh emphasized the importance of memorizing, reciting, and understanding the profound meanings of the Holy Qur’an among boys and girls in Saudi Arabia.

The attendees were treated to a captivating visual presentation, providing insightful information and statistics about the current session of the award, adding another layer of appreciation for the participants and their remarkable achievements.
