Saudi Arabia Denies Participation in Intercepting Iranian Drones During Attack on Israel
Reports circulating on Monday suggested that Saudi Arabia was involved in intercepting Iranian drones during the recent attack on Israel, but informed sources have denied these claims.
Israeli news websites had claimed that an official Saudi website confirmed the Kingdom’s participation in the defense coalition that confronted the Iranian attacks. However, sources have clarified that there is no official statement from Saudi Arabia regarding such involvement.
Iran launched drones and missiles towards Israel over the weekend, describing the attack as a response to several perceived crimes, including the strike on its consulate in Damascus. Tehran claimed that the attack targeted military sites, while the Israeli army reported intercepting 99 percent of the Iranian missiles.
