Saudi Naval Forces Join Medusa 13 Exercise in Greece
In a display of international military cooperation, the Royal Saudi Naval Forces participated in the joint naval-air exercise called Medusa 13 in Greece on Sunday.
The exercise brought together naval and air forces from Greece, Egypt, France, Cyprus, and Saudi Arabia with the goal of enhancing naval security and strengthening alliances, as reported by Saudi Press Agency.
Led by Col. Naval Commander Fahd Al-Humaidi Al-Otaibi, Medusa 13 focuses on executing joint combat missions with modern weaponry, coordinating units to counter maritime threats, and sharing expertise in securing operational areas.
Saudi Arabia’s participation includes various units such as Special Naval Security Units, Marine Infantry, His Majesty’s Ships, and Naval Aviation, with activities planned in Crete and the Mediterranean Sea.
The exercise will encompass military operations, information operations, amphibious assaults, and a civilian evacuation scenario, demonstrating the comprehensive training provided. It is expected to enhance the naval capabilities of all participating nations and promote regional security.
