Saudi Leaders Extend Condolences to India After Deadly Landslides in Kerala

Over 300 people have lost their lives in Kerala, India, due to devastating landslides triggered by heavy rains. In response, Saudi Arabia’s King Salman and Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman reached out to Indian President Droupadi Murmu to offer their heartfelt condolences.

The Saudi leaders expressed their hopes for the safe return of the missing individuals and a speedy recovery for the injured. They also conveyed their sympathies to the president, the families of the deceased, and the people of India, as reported by the Saudi Press Agency.

Following heavy rainfall in Kerala, landslides occurred in the hills of Wayanad district, resulting in a tragic loss of lives. This disaster, the most severe in Kerala since the deadly floods of 2018, has claimed over 300 lives, with close to 200 individuals still unaccounted for, according to authorities.
